Hello Sheridan Families
Welcome to the Media Center at Sheridan Arts. We have had a wonderful time with your students this year. It is that time of year when we are looking for students to return their overdue books to the Media Center library. If your family has lost books, please call us and let us know. The last day of checkout for all students will be May 17. All books are due in by May 24. Life long learners, love to read. This sumer visit your local public library. Help your student to read at home sometime every day. Help your student to build the confidence in their reading, so that they can say, I can read. Have the most wonderful summer. See you next fall. If you would like to volunteer in the Media Center give me a call.
4th Quarter - - Final Activities for the School Year

Each class will work on media, library science, checkout, technology and Media Arts. Watch our website for new student work, links and updates for our activities and curriculum. My Media Arts Troupe is working on digital applications, as we prepare to develop and produce our Speak!! projects. Troupe projects and digital work from all classes throughout the school year will be presented, as part of the Sheridan Arts ART Crawl from 4-7 on May 17, as part of the NE Art.a.Whirl. Join us in the Media Center Lab for our presentations. Class work will be shared on our Visual Presentation stations. Family Night for our Scholastic BookFair
Sheridan Arts will continue our MILI project connecting students to the joint Metro library system using iPads and exploring 21st Century research and technology literacy. We have organized our laptop cart, so that it is available to classrooms during testing and for other classroom activities. We will be working with each class to present and integrate new mobile technologies, access to information and online resources, eBooks, and media arts into our curriculum. The iPad cart allows us the opportunity to support a variety of students at their math level with vibrant, engaging, grade level applications.
