Hi! The students call me Ms. Katie. I am a fourth year student at the University of Minnesota and study psychology and racial justice in urban schooling. This is my second year working at Sheridan, and I love every second of it.

At Sheridan, you can usually find me in fifth grade helping with math, out at recess supervising, or helping students calm down in the hallways or the PEACE room. Outside of Sheridan, you can usually find me out for a walk by the river listening to a podcast, wandering around IKEA, or traveling somewhere new. Before I began working here, I lived in DC and worked at the Department of Education. Before that, I worked and volunteered in multiple schools around Minneapolis/St. Paul, including other Spanish dual immersion schools and other arts magnet schools.

I work extensively with students in every grade except fourth this year, and you can usually find me in an English-speaking classroom. Other ways I am involved in Sheridan include being a member of our PTO, Site Council, the instructional leadership team, and the assistant coach for our first and second grade girls LEGO robotics team.

I love my job and am so grateful to be at Sheridan for another year with such amazing students and staff!
