Bullying Prevention

Bullying is when one person or group is being hurt on purpose by words or actions more than once. Targets of bullying feel bad because of it and have trouble stopping what is happening. At Sheridan, students and staff know that bullying is ROTTEN:

Repeated
On Purpose
Targeted

Bullying may be: Physical (kicking, pushing, hitting); Verbal (name-calling, ridiculing); Relational (rumors, excluding); Cyber (hurtful messages using technology)

All of our staff takes reports of bullying very seriously. If you feel your child is a target of bullying, please make a verbal or written report to Miss Caitlin (school counselor), Ms. Conway (K-2 social worker) or Ms. Chris (3-5 social worker), and we will follow up within 3 school days.
