My name is Megan Schornstein. I am excited to be working with you and your student. I believe that education is a team approach, involving the parents/guardians, teachers, and student.
This is my fifth year at Sheridan. I am looking forward to being back in Kindergarten after two years in first grade. Kindergarten is the building block of student's formal education. I have a strong believe the kindergarteners learn by playing. When you enter our room, you will see many centers and students playing. There are so many skills learned through play! I am also a strong believer in a team approach to learning. When you come in the classroom, you may see other Sheridan staff members in the room, teaching, interacting, and coaching. This is to benefit of each and every student in the classroom! Parents and families are an integral part of the team. I look forward to getting to know you and to work with you!

My husband, Matt, and I live in Lino Lakes with our daughter, Elsie. She'll turn 5 in November. She'll start kindergarten in the fall of 2017. It is a joy to watch her grow and change every day. We love going to "the lake", watching Twins baseball, and hanging out as a family.
